Well, I have reached a new milestone. It has been 700 consecutive days of lunch notes! To celebrate, I thought I would give something back. I started posting lunch notes online as a way to hopefully build a community from which I could find inspiration. After a week of posting lunch notes, I thought I would quickly run out of ideas. I mean, how many different ways can you tell a 4-year-old to have a super day? Luckily, I have been blessed to meet amazing parents, talented artists, and sometimes amazingly talented artist parents, both online and in-person. My new friends have given me motivation to keep going and inspiration to try new things.
In 700 days, I have created over 750 sketches. As a token of appreciation to all of my supporters, and to help parents get new ideas or phrases to add to a lunch note, you can now download a text version (PDF) of every single Lunch Note Sketch to date, in alphabetical order. I have removed duplicate entries, which brings the total to more than 650 messages you can write, draw, sing, or start a story with. So, please download the list, print it out, and have it ready if you ever experience writer's block when trying to jot a quick note to your children as they run out the door to catch the bus.
And don't forget that you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a lunch note. There you can see what tools I use and how I use them. Here's to many more lunch notes to come!
